Mr. Trupiano helps nonprofit organizations successfully address the myriad of legal requirements which apply to them. From their initial formation and tax exemption through on-going governance and claims issues, he uses his experience to give them a solid legal foundation, to enhance their effectiveness, and to minimize potential claims against them.On a regular basis, he publishes the e-newsletter Nonprofit Notes to help nonprofit leaders improve their organizations.

Mr. Trupiano also has extensive business litigation experience, especially involving intellectual property claims (patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade dress), theft of trade secrets, unfair competition, and other business and commercial claims.He has successfully represented clients in a wide variety of businesses in federal and state courts and in mediation and arbitration proceedings. Mr. Trupiano also attended the certificate program in mediating conflict resolution at the highly-regarded Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution, part of Pepperdine University School of Law.

He graduated from the University of Michigan (B.A. in Political Science) and obtained his law degree from Wayne State University (J.D. cum laude) where he was an editor of the Wayne Law Review.
